a Game I Must Have....

Assassin's Creed Gameplay:

One of the few Xbox 360 games I'm actually looking forward to. Almost looks like it's taken the old Prince of Persia type of gameplay, and brought it into the 21st century. Awesome looking game no doubt.

New & Improved RealPlayer

I haven't used RealPlayer to play videos in a very long time. Probably going on three years now. I was talking with a friend recently who mentioned a new RealPlayer Beta that came out back in June of this year. Apparently RealPlayer has added a feature allowing for the downloading of flash videos from the web. There've been several sites that have allowed this feature, but after trying out the new beta, I find this one to easily be the most reliable. After downloading the clips you can simply use RealPlayer itself or another video player that allows playback files in .flv format such as VLC (aka the most versatile video player known to man).. or any other array of flv players.

So if you're interested in being able to download and save youtube, dailymotion or other random videos from the web onto your computer, give RealPlayer a try.

(I believe the player is only Windows compatible so that's the biggest downside i've seen to it so far)

Geoff Burns is one of Abercrombie's 'new faces' for 2007. Geoff was discovered by chance, when his college roomate decided on his own accord to send some of his photos to Seventeen magazine... (apparently his roomate has very good taste). Seventeen went ahead and published the photos, and the rest is history. Goeff was eventually picked up by Abercrombie & Fitch after beating out 15 other guys.

Iranian Gays

According to the current Iranian despot, the 'phenomenon' of gays in Iran is a myth. He may be right on that one point though, seeing as they're so far in the shadows, they might as well not exist. Interestingly enough, the CBC did a piece back in February of this year, documenting the lives of gays living in Iran and how they've had to endure living under the repressive Sharia Law instituted in that country.

The situation in that country is a testament as to why Church and State should always remain separated.

I Love Patrick Wilson

I can't say enough about this actor. Easily very high up there in my favorites category. The guy can act, the guy can sing, the guy can dance... and he's incredibly handsome both on and off screen. His parents' genes must have hit the jackpot :-)

Wilson started out doing stage work, and his first got really noticed playing the role of Closeted gay Republican Joe Pitt in the six part series 'Angels in America', a role for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe and an Emmy. Due to his early success he's had a numerous lead roles including great parts in two of my favorite movies, Hard Candy and Little Children. Both are extremely well written, directed, and very well acted... and oddly enough both of movies have to do with the theme of pedophilia in one way or another (albeit with Hard Candy putting a unique inverted twist on the whole theme). All three of these movies I can't say enough about them. I highly recommend either renting or downloading them if you're interested in good dramatic acting.

Overall I think he's an outstanding actor, and his screen presence just has something about it that I can't place my finger on. His body definitely matches his face (which is very much evident in Angels in America, and the sex scenes with Kate Winslet in Little Children... ).

He actually has several film projects in production at the moment... the most interesting of these I think, will be his role in the comic-to-film adaptation of Watchmen. That's not till 2009 though... let's hope the wait will be worth it.
