Rock Formation

I think in the aviation industry this is what they refer to as 'severe clear' conditions ...

A gorgeous clear day made even more beautiful by the gorgeous scenery captured in this shot... I wonder if there's a scientific term for a shirtless rock-solid formation standing tall above other rocks... (damnit I knew I should've paid more attention in geo 101 ).
