Happy St. Patrick's Day

And on the 17th of March, the rivers shall run green!...

Well, at least for one day Chicago's river will run green. Meanwhile here in NY we have the annual sea of green marchers to look forward to. It can only mean one thing... it's St. Patrick's Day . Today we all have a little bit of Irish in us ... (hopefully it doesn't get too diluted with an overabundance of alcohol consumption later on ).

Anyhow, I'll of course be wearing some green article of clothing today (maybe a shirt will do). Hopefully everyone has a happy and safe St. Paddy's Day. And yeah, careful out on those roads especially .

Ugh, Here we go again with the 'holidays' ... Kidding of course , this is in fact my favorite of the year (and has been since I was about 3), for obvious reasons. I love the holidays and I love the atmosphere about the Holidays. If but only it could carry through all year long .

Anyhow, I'll be away to spend time with family so I won't be around until 2009 (can't believe this decade's already almost over). Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Holidays, whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, just spend time with friends and family or don't celebrate anything at all. See you guys next year ...

Happy Thanksgiving

So, as all of you should be well aware by now, tomorrow is Thanksgiving. A day for feasting, friends and family... although the family part I could really do without... (kidding of course ). But yeah, I just wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving. I'll be away for a couple days so as you might guess I won't be posting for a couple of days...

But I did keep presence of mind to leave you with my personal pilgrim here. 17th century colonial life is kind of rough going (as you might imagine) but the results are very well worth the trouble . Happy Holidays everyone, see you in a couple days.

I'll be traveling this week to visit family, so I'm going to have to take a mini hiatus from the blog until next year... well, January to be exact, when I get back home. Happy Thanksgiving

It's that time of the year again, when family you haven't seen for months get together to feast, and tell stories of what they've been up to... (sometimes interesting, other times not really).

Just wanted to wish everyone a safe, and happy thanksgiving. I'll be spending the next couple of days with family and friends. Time just feels like it flew by this year, can you imagine the winter holidays are just a few weeks away now :-)
