So Sad

Sometimes I look at the calendar and wonder whether or not America has made it into the 21st century yet... I take a look at the calendar only to receive the sad reaffirmation that yes, we're in the second decade of the 21st century... and this is what we're fighting over. On most occasions I try to avoid paying too much attention to the corrosive rhetoric of American politics, but this vicious display from a young republican's speech at last week's Conservative Political Action Committee get-together was just downright ugly .

'Freedom of Opinion' indeed. Would that said opinion didn't always translate into pure unadulterated hatred . Anyhow, you can check out more of speaker Ryan Sorba's rhetoric (ugh, I'm almost cringing while posting this ), over at his own blog. Truly a loon of the highest order.
