Christian and Oliver back in love

Is it stifling outside or what? ... And just when I thought June couldn't get any hotter, out comes Christian and Oliver once again heating up German daytime and putting other soaps (*ahem*) to shame ...

For those of you not familiar with the Christian and Oliver duo... well, it's kind of a long story arc. I suggest starting here and going on from Nana's amazing work over on youtube translating the storyline from start to current hotness.

Part of me kind of wants to see what happens next... but... after all this is a family show... (*rewinds the clip a little*)... Ok, on second thought maybe not . Nevertheless, superbly well done... These two honestly get into the role so well you'd almost think it wasn't acting .

Verbotene Liebe (Forbidden Love) Music Video

Although the Olympics, and a couple other unnecessary distractions have kind of had the priority this past month, I still do have a minor theme going with regards to the poll to on the left. Now if I could only decide which music video to make and what to base it on... I'm thinking if not for the language barrier and lack of access here in the states, this series would be at the top of the list.

For the time being, I leave you with this awesome clip by youtube Jessicmountain. In all honesty there's a club mix version of this song by Cascada that I absolutely despise... But I love this version, and it goes fantastic with a show I consider the only worthwhile on-going romance on TV (and youtube)...

...now... time to think up a couple ideas for a few new videos of my own...

Christian and Oliver - Brilliant Episode

I finally got some free time recently, and had the opportunity to catch up on the Christian and Oliver storyline currently being translated by ichglotzutube. Wow, did I miss a lot, this series is still one of my favorites... and this latest episode was just fantastic. Especially the ending. If you're not familiar with this series, it originates from a German soap titled Verbotene Liebe (Forbidden Love), and basically follows the relationships and interactions between a group of young 20-something friends living in Cologne and Düsseldorf, Germany.

The performances both actors Jo Weil (Oliver) and Thore Schölermann (Christian) have been putting on in this series makes for probably hands down the most believable male/male romantic relationship I've seen from any soapsI've come across thus far. I can't say enough about it . The latest translation release from the phenomenal series Verbotene Liebe is also probably one of the best so far this year . Christian and Oliver's relationship finally out in the open?... well kinda. Apparently it's an open secret to everyone except Christian's own family. Christian and Oliver - Counting Down the Days

Youtuber CoolCatKerr has been releasing one Christian and Oliver video after another these past few days. I really took a liking to this one put to the tune of Natalie Imbruglia's 'Counting down the Days'. By and large, a very well done video... Is it really possible to go wrong when putting these two to music?

Memories of Deniz and Roman

A friend of Jbmales recently sent me this video a couple of days ago. It's basically a montage of the relationship of Deniz and Roman from the German soap Alles was Zählt (Everything that Counts), put to the tune of 'Breathe Me' by Heartbreak (a tune you may remember famously used in an outstanding scene in Verbotene Liebe). I think this particular video was superbly well done... and quite a proper send off to boot.

Deniz and Roman may no longer be an item (talk about ruining a great show )... but it's still nice to have this awesome music video featuring the once great German TV couple to look back upon. (I'm wondering if this will be the last ever post on poor Deniz and Roman ).

Not to worry, at the very least we we still have Christian and Oliver to tune into every week. This clip is the latest in the series of translated clips brought to us by the Goddess ichglotzutube. She does a really fantastic job of translating this show... If you happen to have a youtube account, I highly suggest subscribing to her .

Christian and Oliver: A must see

I hope no one minds me making a broad, somewhat biased, general statement... but I have to say, the romantic storyline involving Christian and Oliver from the soap, Verbotene Liebe (Forbidden Love), is hands down the best male/male storyline I've ever witnessed. Period... This first clip tells the story of how Christian (played by Thore Schölermann), finally comes to term with his love for Oliver (Jo Weil).

Now I have to say, I've added quite a number of clips featuring scenes of affection on this blog. Yet even so, I was still quite taken aback by just the chemistry alone displayed between these two actors (I've read one of them is gay and the other isn't, but I can't verify that). Nevertheless, for something like this to have actually aired on daytime television is just mind-boggling from an American perspective. And being the hopeless romantic that I am, this is quite honestly the best kiss scene I've ever seen. Just, wow ...
