It's the end of the world... and I feel fine
A routine stop at the barbershop for a shave and a haircut turns into a haunting melody about love... and a chance encounter with a mysterious stranger reading a newspaper about the end of the world? Honestly where do they come up with this stuff?...
...cause I want more
! Oh how I wish there were actually a movie instead of just a music video. But alas, I'll settle for the fantastic video... serene cinematography and all... (btw, the last photo above on the bottom right, I would as a wallpaper were it a production still... so utterly amazing...)This video is for a song called End of the World, written and performed by a former school teacher turned musician named Matt Alber... Matt currently has an album out titled Hide Nothing which is available on Itunes and Amazon... You can also check out more of Matt's music over at his blog, myspace, and youtube pages. This beautiful video itself can be download over at itunes as well.

The times, they are a changin'
Sean Penn and James Franco put to the tune of a timeless Cyndi Lauper 80s classic?... And a rendition of that hit classic sung by none other than multi-talented UK actor John Barrowman no less? I would've never in a million years thought this combination would work... but wow, did the end result come out great or what
?
Would you believe it if I told you I've never the opportunity to watch Milk yet? I know the movie's already racked up a couple awards, but for some odd reason I tend to be more attracted to the lesser known (more underground) gay-themed than the mainstream ones... I think I might give this one a rental though.

Newcastle - Miles Away
"What is this strange music I hear, I know it not".... and "who exactly is that??" Basically more or less those were the first two thoughts that ran through my head when I initially clicked on this video
. But yeah, wow what a beautiful surprise this turned out to be. This video was created by a videoblogger named Johnny Rhys. It features an Australian film by writer/director Dan Castle aptly titled Newcastle... and yes, I must say the cast of guys in this film really put a capital 'G' in Gorgeous.
I've yet to see this movie, but my interest has in fact been piqued. The lead actor is a 21 year-old Aussie beauty named Lachlan Buchanan (someone who deserves more research in his own right I might say). And the song used for the clip is Miles Away by Madonna...
Yet another great find by fellow blogmate Rob from Wayoutwest.tv. Newscastle is currently available on DVD in Australia. Also the creator of this video just happens to be my latest blogmate. You can check out more of Johnny Rhys's music videos over at his Meandmyvideos blog.

Why Youtube, why?...
Why, must you consistently bombard me with your endless stream of videos featuring people making total fools of themselves in front of a camera. We don't get enough of that in the mainstream media apparently? Do you derive some sick pleasure out of all this? ... Was that a yes?? ... Well fine I guess, whatever
. I'll watch your videos... but I'm not necessarily gonna like it.
). And yeah, the geeky guy in the second video would be so by my type... if he wasn't such a hyper-active stalker
...
Ok, so maybe I liked these videos a little... in a 'they're so horrendous that they're borderline funny' kind of way? Plus never hurts to have super cute guys singing (or lip-syncing to be more accurate) to keep one's attention. To be honest, considering the competition that's out there... (*cringe*), I really don't mind the goofiness aspect.
Anyhow both these clips are by a youtube comedy group based out of LA... I believe from the looks of it it seems to be Hollywood (the sign gave it away

SNL's Lonely Island is on a boat...
I think it's safe to say there's only one way I to describe SNL comedy trio The Lonely Island's recent boat trip featuring rapper T-Pain... Way, way, way over the top! Who'd have thunk it really? A rap song by an SNL comedy group about... well, just about being on a boat? It actually came out sounding somewhat decent (albeit *heavily profanity laden*). But Andy Samberg is super cute so I can somewhat ignore that... plus I love his personality (totally reminds me of one of my friends)...
Also please someone give the director/video editor of this video a medal... cause just in terms of great cinematography, it came out looking awesome. The Lonely Island's album Incredibad came out this past tuesday. The album is also available through Itunes.

Indiana Beauty: Jon McLaughlin
Would you believe it if I told you I completely forgot about this guy until about a week or so ago... Lo and behold, the great hunkologists at Hunk du Jour did us a service by posting a couple fantastic images of Jon (I believe it was exactly a week ago today) and it eventually dawned on me... Why haven't I featured this beautiful musician yet? So without further ado, introducing Indiana's most beautiful singer/songwriter/guitar player/pianist/all-around hottie/I think you get the picture by now
... Gorgeous 26 year-old artist Jon McLaughlin.
I think the very first time I heard of Jon was way, way back in 2007 (seems like a long time ago now
)... just a little bit after his second official album was released.Suffice to say I loved what I heard, and yes, the video for his single Beautiful Disaster just happened to be on youtube, so I love what I saw as well
...
As it turns out, I wasn't the only one who took notice. John had a website set up at the time along with his myspace account, and just from those sources alone, he was able to generate up to 25,000 hits a day and numerous requests for his music. Apparently yet another online artist success story
.
And what a success it's been... since then he's gone on to play numerous major venues including the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and has had his music used as soundtrack for two movies and and a number of television series. Jon also had the honor of being invited to the 80th Academy Awards ceremony to perform the musical number So Close from the film Enchanted.
Jon released his third album OK Now back in October of 2008. The MP3 versions of his songs are of course available for download through Itunes and Amazon. You can also check out more of Jon's beautiful music both at his Myspace page and all over youtube.
And yes, I have to say Indiana really never looked more beautiful... Hopefully squarehippies doesn't mind if I borrow Jon just for a little bit
... Beautiful face + great voice + talent = ultimate hottie... at least in my book
.

SNL in your pants
So what do you get when you mix a couple drinks with a few hot chicks, a catchy beat, and... err, an embarrasing excuse for a spare set of pants
? Yep you guessed it... about 6,000,000+ views (and counting fast) in the span of a little over a week...Saturday Night Live strikes again with comedic gold. This video aired on last week's SNL and yes, already it's become an instant youtube mega sensation. The song itself will be released as part of an album early next February by the SNL comedic trio of Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone (better known as The Lonely Island). You can check out more of their skits over at their homepage on youtube. And yes, that was Soprano's star Jamie Lynn Sigler and Justin Timberlake you saw there making their cameos as the cashier and janitor

Jessica's Latest
I'm a big fan of Jessica's vids, in that they give me inspiration to go back to creating a few fan music video's of my own. Honestly the only thing really getting in my way at this point is time... (as in lack of it)...
That being said, this new John Paul and Craig video by youtuber Jessica Mountain is fantastic. It's a shame how the original relationship had to come to an end, but for a time it was magical TV. I give this video two thumbs up
... You can check out more of Jessica's work on her youtube page, and hopefully subscribe if you like what you see

Girls who like guys who like guys for the girls?
So the age old question... do girls really like guys who like guys for the girls?... Well, I'd imagine were we to switch around the terms 'girls' and 'guys' in that previous question the answer would be an obvious affirmative. I'm not a girl so I'd never be able to answer for sure whether the opposite is the case... but Dinorah aka Drewsfangirl's video here seems to be making quite an interesting case
...Awesome vid... almost inspires me to go back to making one or two of my own... That Grande École clip at the end seems rather enticing
... Anyway you can check out this clip, along with a few more Drewfangirl's music video over at her page on youtube.

Just Beautiful: Patrick Nuo Hotness Appreciation
Here's an easy question...
What do you get when you take an absolutely stunning model...

...give him a decent enough voice to make it as a part-time back-up singer...
...and then follow that up by signing him to a contract with a major European music label?
Well, I supose the answer is worth a listen...
...
A fresh sound of pop as its been defined by numerous acts this decade... backed up of course by one of the most gorgeous faces ever to grace the European music scene. Granted I'm not the 'biggest fan' of the light pop genre (to put it mildly)...but can you blame me if I stop and take notice when someone this stunning appears on screen?... (I'm really not shallow, but I'm not blind either
)...
Say hello to the 26-year old stunning beauty/Swiss model/German pop star Patrick Nuo.
Born of a Kosovar father and a Swiss mother, Patrick has actively been pursuing a career in music since the age of 14. And as you can tell from the previous pictures, Patrick of course first started turning heads as a part-time model before signing a contract with Warner.
Fast-forward12 years and three albums later, Patrick has grown into a relatively successful Swiss and German act with his label.
Oh, and did I mention he's insanely hot?...Not that I want to belittle accomplishments... but... I'd imagine being as gorgeous as Patrick is might tend to help boost sales to some degree or another.
Nevertheless, this man is in fact one of the most handsome music artists I've ever laid eyes on. And when you're photogenic enough to come off this sexy without even trying, I suppose that should account for something, no?
...

Patrick married his longtime girlfriend, American actress Molly Schade back in 2005 and the two gave birth to a baby daughter the following year. And can I just make a prediction?... I think it's safe to say judging from how incredibly beautiful this couple is, that kid will most likely have a future in either modeling or acting... or both
...
Oh, and speaking of acting, Patrick's current project is working on an upcoming 2009 release of a movie titled The Fury. Although being the small project that it is, this I believe will be Patrick's first big screen debut here in the US... Does he have the talent to transition from modeling and singing to acting? Let's hope so, cause I certainly wouldn't be one to object seeing him in a film or too (err, depending on the acting of course).

What can I say, Patrick Nuo... Just Beautiful indeed
