I inadvertently added a shot of this gorgeous unknown a couple months ago without having any clue whatsoever as to who he was, where he came from, or perhaps what I even found so alluring about him in the first place...But I knew there had to be a method to my madness, and just judging from how this fantastic example of Irish perfection looks both in and out of a suit, I'd have to say my instincts were as keen as ever ...

Introducing 23 year-old Manhattan model/actor/total hottie Chris Connell.

Chris graduated not too long ago from film school in Manhattan and subsequently moved to LA to further pursue his acting and modeling careers. He's since appeared on several magazine covers, played a supporting role in the romantic comedy 500 Days of Summer, and appeared in a litany of commercials... with this particular Belgian ad for Leonidas Chocolate that I found pretty funny ...

A guy passing up his partner for a quick snack on a piece of chocolate... no comment... ? Anyhow, Chris has his own page over at Vimeo which is pretty neat. You can surf through a couple more clips from his commercial work there as well.

Being that Chris also models when he's not in front of the camera, he's apparently left behind a trail of quite amazing shots. These in particular were taken by both Jade and one of my favorite photographers, the talented Scott Hoover.

Chris currently has his own website setup, so you can get more information about his modeling and acting career there. And yes... hopefully we'll be seeing more of him as well in future feature length productions ... For the time being though, I have to say I wouldn't mind a few more absolutely gorgeous shots...

Erik is... chill...

Guys named Erik are the coolest right? Ignoring the slightly varied spelling of that great name of course ... I've yet to meet an Erik who wasn't slightly cool... perhaps sexy... or maybe some neat combination of the two ...

This Erik here is no exception ... talk the 'cool look'. Or should I just refer to it as chill ?

... I guess whatever term you want to use for this guy, it all translates to extreme hotness in my book. Introducing gorgeous 20 year-old Seattle model/student Erik B...

Super hot in every sense of the term. It's certainly nice to see models that look like real people every once in a while ...That's said, I think it's more than apparent there's nothing average about someone as hot as Erik.

Thankfully his first major photoshoot happened to have landed with what appears to be a strikingly talented photographer (going by the moniker Inack). Gorgeous work all around I'd say ...

In between his part-time modeling and classes, Erik is currently working at a fine dining restaurant. And to be honest I could really see him working as a waiter in restaurant... but I could also see him as an actor as well (he certainly has the look)... I think that in essence sums up his appeal... Just natural hotness ...

La Beauté Française

His eyes stare off into the distance revealing a longing, perhaps even a sadness over a long lost love? ...Or... perhaps just revealing a talent for taking great shots ... either way he's Just Beautiful in my book .

Introducing 34 year-old Nicholas C... a potential mystery that's thankfully been solved prior to me even finishing this this post. Thanks of course to photographer Fred Goudon for positively identifing him ...

Nicholas C as you might've guessed is of French origin. He's been modeling for several years now and has worked with Fred to produce quite a fantastic photoshoot (of which you can check out a fantastic selection over at his blog). Nicholas also made the move from France to California not too long ago so let's cross our fingers we'll be seeing more of him in the future.

David Vance presents: Heavenly Bodies

Last year we had the great pleasure of paying a house call to a certain amazing art historian turned photographer... suffice to say I think we certainly enjoyed our stay ... This year though, I'm thinking we might be stepping out of the house just for a bit? How about taking a trip to the photographic stratosphere for a little while ...

...And meeting up with one of the photography world's icons, Miami-based photographer/artist David Vance (and a couple of his amazing friends ).

Perhaps you're somewhat familiar with some of David's past work from several issues of a popular Australian magazine?... or maybe you've had the opportunity to be amazed by some of the shots he's had to offer a little more recently for a fantastic French magazine?...

Well this year David returns with his own book Heavenly Bodies. A culmination of several years of work with dozens of models... encapsulated in 112 pages of what can only be described as photographic works of art. Drawing on his inspiration from mythology, sculptures and classical Greco-Roman art, David's new book focuses on the beauty of masculinity... accentuated with lighting, tones, and even full-blown fantastical settings as seen in the shots below.

Being that this is a book primarily focused on beautiful subjects, it only makes sense David compiled this latest project from his work with some of the most breathtaking models in the industry.... including Brian Levy, Lucas Angeloro, Levi Poulter, and of course Philip Fusco ...

Oh, and speaking of Philip Fusco... yes, I still stand by my previous statement. Hottest model of 2009 without a doubt ... Heavenly Bodies is being distributed by European publishing house Bruno Gmuender. It's slated for release in Europe later this month and here on American shores this June, but pre-order reserves are already available over at Tower Books, Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
