As you may have noticed, I've reduced my posting this month... being that it's the holidays and all. I'll be traveling this week to visit family, so I'm going to have to take a mini hiatus from the blog until next year... well, January to be exact, when I get back home. I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Holidays... Merry Christmas and Happy New year...

It's cold outside...

So today was the first real snow storm here in the northeast US. Supposedly New England got the brunt of it... It started out equally bad (at first) in the greater NY metro area, but things quickly turned to sleet and hail. Personally, If I'm going to be driving around, I'd rather drive through snow than sliding around on ice... Just my two cents.

I should also mention I dislike winter with a passion... Well, maybe not winter exactly (or with such a passion), but I prefer summer over winter, let's just put it like that. Besides Christmas (best time of the year for me), I can't stand walking around outside when it's freezing.... Where's global warming when you need it

Judging from these guys, there's a few people out there who apparently don't mind the cold as much as I do .

The 11th Squad... 300 Style!

If you're an anime fanboy/girl, odds are that you'll instantly recognize the 11th squad. For everyone else, this clip is from one of 2007's currently more popular animes, Bleach.

This clip is an obvious parody of the trailer for the movie 300, using only footage from the Anime. I think it was really, really well done; lip-syncing and all.


I'm not going to bore anyone with the background for the 11th squad... it would involve describing an almost 200 episode long series in context (not fun). For anybody interested in more background with regards to this clip, here's a link.



Also, there's no actual 11th squad movie coming out, but there is a Bleach movie set to open theatrically in Japan in a week or so. Translation for me: I'll be downloading the torrent in about 7 months or so .

Matthew is awesome :-)...

I had to post two more of Matthew's vids. The guy's so incredibly clever, I support 100% what he's trying to do on youtube.

The first clip deals with the censorship and selective questioning that took place with regards to the CNN Republican youtube debate, which took place back in November. (Irony of ironies, CNN censored the questions and still ended up unwittingly creating their own controversy ......classic)

The second clip is Part II in the Zap series, where Matthew answers questions sent to him by viewers. Both awesome clips in their own right.

Hunks Workshop

These images are from a Japanese game titled Hunks Workshop. I've tried on more than one occasion (unsuccessfully unfortunately) to install this game on my comp. The main website for the game is in Japanese though so that's been the biggest roadblock.... Somehow, I think maybe starting out by fixing my Japanese font on Firefox might be a good idea...

The game is published by Futuregames Japan, and basically has you playing as the boss to four sexy guys... You direct them, into what ends up for better or worse, as compromising situations. Suffice to say, the pictures i've posted are by far the more tame ones of the bunch.

Don't expect to be seeing a game like this in US stores anytime soon...

I'm not sure who's the specific artist behind these, but I wouldn't mind seeing him/her (most likely her seeing as its Japan) turning this into a series... I'd wager that 'said' artist is already working in the anime industry though.

I love Japanese art, need I say more...
