The Becoming

I wouldn't exactly consider myself a fan of Grey's Anatomy, but the show does have it's moments. About a month ago, the scenes in this clip aired as a part of Season 4's Episode 14: The Becoming. I thought it was an absolutely fantastic, yet tragic piece of work.

The clip tells the story of a war veteran named Daren (played by Benny Ciaramello), on leave from duty in Afghanistan, and suffering in a hospital at home from a brain tumor. While his father watches over him, he calls one of his close friends also on leave from his platoon, to stop by and visit him. Todd (played by David Giuntoli) makes it to Daren's bedside and the two rekindle a 'bond' that had formed during their tour of duty. Some powerful stuff indeed, I found the entire episode's storyline to be brilliantly well done.
