Youth Desert the GOP

Already a good sign for 2008 in my book... Apparently the reverberations from the Larry Craig debacle (not to mention Gonzales, Mark Foley, David Vitter... etc...) seem to be exacerbating an already deepening political issue for the Republicans.

The Herald Tribune:
"Among key constituencies, the most worrisome are young voters, the fastest-growing slice of the U.S. electorate and one where lifetime habits are ingrained early. These voters - 18- to 29-year-olds - are deserting the Republicans"

Now personally, I'm not against ever seeing another Republican president (we're a democracy after all), but they definitely do not deserve another 8 years after the damage they've done to this country and it's image abroad. They deserve a two-term break to think things over ;-)

(...maybe even three terms if we're lucky)
