Writer's Strike Casualties

Well, apparently the inevitable has happened. The first fallen casualties in the on-going feud between the writers and the Networks have been identified; They consist of the *entire* staff of the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Apparently, the Leno show decided to lay off its workers yesterday... with no guarantee of a job when the strike ends. This includes, camera men, hair stylists, makeup people, etc...

Personally I don't know what to think with regards to all this. I'm pretty sure other shows may possibly follow suit if this strike goes on for as long as they're predicting. I'm siding with the writers since I believe they're the brains behind most of the shows we watch on TV, and they deserve their fair share... but at the same time, the fact that so many people who rely on these shows for employment are basically becoming collateral damage is kind of worrying.
