The Return of the Tudors

My favorite series on Showtime is returning to the air tonight. Season 2 of the critically-acclaimed fictional adaptation of everyone's favorite dysfunctional British royal family is kicking off it's newest season on the Showtime network this Sunday. For those of you not familiar with the show, the Tudors is basically based off England's infamous royal house of Tudor (which brought forth the likes of King Henry the VIII and Queen Elizabeth the I). The show takes place during the early period of the Tudor dynasty, and weaves a fictitious yet quite enthralling tale surrounding the exploits of a young King Henry VIII.

Returning of course are King Henry the VIII (played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers), Anne Boelyn (Natalie Dormer), Catherine of Aragon (Maria Doyle Kennedy my favorite actress in the series), and of course Charles Brandon, played by freakishly sexy guycandy Henry Cavill...

I have to admit, if I were a fish, I'd be dangling off a hook right now on account of Henry Cavill and Jonathan Rhys Meyers. These two guys (and especially Henry) were the perfect eyecandy combination that worked as bait, initially luring me into what turned out to be a fantastic series... one that I'd otherwise might have totally ignored...

Be sure to check out Season 2 of the Tudors when it airs tonight on Showtime... and as usual for those of you who can't catch these episodes when they air, there's always the torrents option. Also, the Season 1 DVD or the Netflix renting option is on available for those of you interested in catching up.

Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell

Two of the greatest living artists currently walking the face of this earth...

Their work is absolutely jaw dropping ...

Boris Vallejo is a painter of Peruvian origin, who immigrated to the US back in 1964. He got into painting at the early age of 13, and got his first illustration job 3 years later. He attended the National School of the Fine Arts in Peru, which helped to fine tune his style before moving to the US. Since moving to the US, he's worked on practically every single style of publication known to man, including video game box art, comics, movie poster illustrations, album covers, book illustrations... and so on (after working non-stop for more than 4 decades, the list is pretty much endless)...

Julie Bell is a superstar of the fantasy/science fiction illustration field, hailing from Beaumont Texas. Julie attended 6 different colleges and universities while studying art. She's also a former competitive bodybuilder and a fantasy art model. Since 1990, Julie has worked on numerous comics, album covers, corporate campaigns and book covers for major publishing houses in New York...

Julie Bell and Boris Vallejo married in 1994 and have since collaborated numerous times to create gorgeous works of art. The two currently live together in Pennsylvania.

23-year old French model & personal trainer, Gregory Capra

Grégory is a graduate of the University of Marseille... he currently works as a personal trainer both in Paris, and the south of France (basically living the good life and doing what he loves ). He also does his fair share of modeling, working for the likes of Fred Goudon and Edouard Bernaux, and also photographing for advertising shoots and taking part in fashion presentations. Grégory has recently started a site of his own where you can check out his nutritional tips, books, and workout routines .

Ok, I swear this'll be the last video I post on youtube's news and politics editor, Steve. The video itself has no real bearing on the current race forthe Democratic nomination (it's kind of dated by a month or two, as you may have noticed)... but I just found Steve's eyes totally captivating in this clip... The guy is too freakishly handsome, he's gotta be aware of how distracting it is from the job he's trying to do ... (or maybe not, eyecandy tends to attract a few 100 or so more viewers I suppose).
